I slept well last night. Didn’t wake up until about 20 to 6. Instead of waiting for pain to wake me up, I took Aleve and Alka Seltzer before bed. I had also taken migraine medication, and that did result in me waking up without the headache, though my shoulder and neck muscles were still very tight. The headache might come back.

It was a cloudy morning. Felt very dark on my walk. But no wind or rain, so the walk was relatively pleasant. I’m planning to start running in the mornings after my trip to South Carolina in April.

I delegated most of today’s training to another of my direct reports, so I was able to get some things done today other than wearing out my voice.

Even though I got pretty good sleep, I’ve still felt tired most of the day. I’ll be driving to Boise soon. I got my staff spinning done during my afternoon break, but I’ll be doing my Move U exercises after I arrive in Boise.

My shoulder and neck are still tight and tense. I wish I knew what I could do to calm them down. The headache hasn’t come back yet, so hopefully a nice relaxing day of working at the Restore will help. It’s funny, I do kind of find all the cleaning and organizing relaxing. It’s low stakes. I just need to do the work and there’s nothing really riding on it. It’s simple.

My therapist suggested that I do community service using my talents, and I told her I had no interest in using my talents for it. My talents take energy. I’d much rather sweep floors and sort screws than try and write or code.

My phone shows me “on this day” pictures every day, and today’s had some blooming daffodils from last year. The ones I planted are just starting to come up. I haven’t checked the ones that we found out in the yard the first year.

I had some emotional outbursts this morning. Very glad that I wasn’t training so I could let those out instead of holding them inside. I think the shoulder and neck might be reacting to the fact that I’ve had to be “on” for most of the week instead of just at my normal ten to fifteen hours of meetings. Next week should be easier in that respect, and the following weeks will also have some built in breaks for me as I continue with training.
