I slept well, but not as long as I would have preferred. Some more interesting dreams. I really feel like my dreams are telling me it’s time to start running again, because I dream that I’m running with ease almost every night. Probably every night but I don’t always remember every single dream.

A nice walk at a water front park with family in the morning. Slower walking than I prefer for my morning jaunts, but the company was quite good, and that makes up for a lot.

Hung out for much of the afternoon, and then went shopping. I need to remember to grab the Nutella stick thingies I got from my brother-in-law. My family was driving all day, and made it home safely in the evening.

We had dinner at Page’s Okra Grill restaurant in Summerville with a friend of the family who had lost her husband several years ago. I didn’t get a whole lot of chance to talk to her individually, but when we got up to leave she hugged me and said that they’re doing better than we are. A very nice lady I was glad to meet.

The food there was wonderful. My father-in-law told me the fried chicken was good, but I had to have the sea bass and shrimp with rice, creole sauce, spinach and grape tomatoes. It was so good, I cleaned my plate.

I walked in the evening after dark. By myself this time, talking to Ambrose. I need to figure out a good way to record my walking thoughts. I’ve just been writing them down when I get home, but it would be good to have a way to record them without having to wait. I end up trying to make my memory record snippets that will blossom into full ideas when I get back, but it doesn’t always work as well as I want it to. I have some of my best thoughts while walking.

We will go to the beach tomorrow. I don’t know how much swimming I’ll do, but I want to get in the water. I love the ocean, and it should be in the low 80’s tomorrow, and sunny. And the day after will be time to go back. I’m having a good vacation.
