I slept in this morning. I’ve been pushing myself pretty hard physically, and I needed the extra rest. I also needed to get some electrolytes in me. Ambrose told me so, in a dream. Not in words, but that was the message I got from it. I can keep working myself, but I need to take care of myself, too, because he’s not here to remind me in person.

I was craving a coffee, so I had an espresso in milk this morning. I thought it might help me focus, but it didn’t. Tasted yummy though.

When I walked to check the mail at lunch, I was very glad I hadn’t run this morning. My body was so sore, it protested even that half mile walk.

I finally made it past the episode of season 46 of Survivor that was the last one we watched together. Ambrose and I watched Survivor together from the start of our relationship. Even when we weren’t living together, we would both watch it and text each other about it. It was one of the things that helped me learn to look at myself as someone who could do outdoorsy things. Challenging things. I feel like watching these episodes that he never got to see is like watching them with him. That he can’t watch them until I do. So it’s a bit sad, and a bit hard, but also really good. I’m looking forward to catching up on the two seasons I missed.

I shared the hiking post over on social media as planned, and I was so happy to see that someone commented here. I get an average of three to five comments per day on this blog, but the vast majority are spam. I love it when people actually comment.

After work, I went out for a mowing session. I thought I filled the tank up, but it only lasted about 25 minutes, so I must have done something wrong. I dusted off the filter and checked the oil, which looked fine. Then I let it cool down while I used the trimmer to attack the rest of the rock mound. I got that finished and then set a timer for 30 minutes to do some more mowing before calling it a night.

Yeah, the I didn’t actually start the timer, so I ended up finishing the section I was working on and didn’t stop until 7 pm. Leaving me not a whole lot of time to eat dinner and do my exercises and my writing before bedtime. Dinner was easy at least, as my very veggie Friday spaghetti was even tastier today than yesterday. It’s one of those dishes that gets better when it’s leftovers. And I did some very slow spinal oscillations and glute pops for my Move U movements.

The wind has been active this evening. When I was outside earlier, it made the trees sound like rushing water. I kept wondering how I could possibly hear a stream or ocean waves, but it was just the wind and the leaves. A beautiful sound. It’s supposed to rain tonight. My trees have got some dead lower limbs. I need to look up how to properly trim them. Or ask advice. I think I’ll stand outside in the wind for a moment before bed.
