Another night of not great sleep. I do think I may have dreamed of Ambrose, but I don’t remember for sure. That’s actually why I think I might have dreamed of him, because I don’t remember. There are some dreams I’m not supposed to remember yet.

I made it two days in a row with the morning walk. I’ll go for three tomorrow. My hope is to get back into walking when I wake up on weekdays, and going for a hike one one of the weekends. Though the hike might just be a long walk in the neighborhood if we ever get snow.

A college friend reached out about getting together for backpacking or rafting this summer. I definitely want to make that work, even if I’ll have to shorten my Queens River trip. I can always go back to the Queens another year. Connection is important.

Not so many meetings at work today, so I feel like I got more accomplished. I exercised at lunch, then went for a mail walk after I ate and before I had to go back to work. It’s supposed to be better for you if you walk after eating. That’s not going to happen with breakfast, but I am trying to make it work for lunch and dinner. Oh, I tried putting some aji amarillo in my lunch ramen to spice it up. It was yummy.

After work, I ate dinner and then walked again. Played some video games and then did some writing. I’m about halfway through Day 2. I think I could finish tomorrow, though I have family zoom so I might not. I do want to cook something tomorrow for dinner so if it’s going to be fish I should start that thawing tonight. I ran a load of laundry and started the dishwasher this evening. It’s all about celebrating the small wins.

I talked to my mom on the evening walk, asking her to intercede for me with my upcoming legal venture. When I talk to my mom, I think of her as her young self. Someone who could stand beside me and wrap me in a big hug. I hugged a tree after that walk, and cried a bit.

My weekend plans are starting to solidify. I’m thinking a hike on Saturday morning, then some grocery shopping in the afternoon. A short walk on Sunday, but mostly writing on Sunday. The inversion is supposed to clear up by tomorrow morning. I sorely hope that it does. I’m ready for some sunshine.
