I lingered in bed this morning after my meditation. I didn’t want to get up and face the day. I wasn’t sure what to eat for breakfast.
Once I settled on a protein drink, it was easier to get up and get moving.
It’s so dark outside when I wake up that I can still see the stars. There was a rising crescent moon tinged yellow this morning.
I figured out how to remove my etrike battery and started it charging before work. The video wasn’t working for my therapy today, so we did a phone call instead. It was good. I’m still struggling in many ways, but I’m also starting to feel less … panicked.
I took the etrike for a spin after work. It rolled off the porch easily enough, but I had a hard time pedaling at first. The steering was more sensitive than I expected, and that took some getting used to. The thing really picks up speed going downhill. I rode it up and down my road, but didn’t try the hill. I wasn’t feeling secure enough yet to try flying down the hill. The pedal assist was neat, but a little disconcerting. I only tried level one pedal assist, which got me to between 5 and 6 miles per hour. I figure that’s plenty fast for up on the gravel.
I didn’t do too much riding. My period is being unpleasant. Next time I ride, I’ll wear some armor. Or at least a leather jacket.
I got a ride to the hot springs tonight. It was a nice time. I met another neighbor.
It’s supposed to rain overnight, so I probably won’t get a chance to see the stars in the morning.
