It was hard to get moving this morning. I woke up at 5, but wanted nothing more than to go right back to sleep. I don’t remember any of my dreams. I just was feeling cruddy, and when I finally did get up I saw that was because my period had finally arrived.

I did a half mile walk but skipped the calisthenics. I’m going to skip fasting this week while I’m on the period. That meant I had to get to the store after work to restock my breakfast sandwiches for tomorrow morning. Since I had choir tonight, that meant a quick dinner and then a quick trip to the local grocery store.

I had a nice chat with one of the cashiers, and she ended up giving me a really good hug. A hug from the universe through her. I cried a bit. Ambrose is out there, and he sends me hugs through the people I encounter.

Work was okay today. My body is sore from yesterday’s hike, so at least I got to sit all day. I need to prioritize getting some processes converted from an old style query to a new style query this week. And try to create a transaction for data loading.

I practiced the flute piece intensively from when I got home from the grocery store until it was time to leave for choir, and I brought it and my music stand just in case we had time to do the song. I’m glad I did, because we did end up having time and the other flutist brought hers as well so we got to go through it a few times. It felt good. There are spots I need to work on. She’ll be coming to my place tomorrow so we can practice together.

Overall, it felt like a really good choir practice. My work on the memorized songs is paying off. Our director couldn’t be there, but we had an able substitute. And there were delicious cupcakes and cookies for snack.

I had my HVAC system fall maintenance today, and I am very glad I did. I had noticed that it seemed to be making more noise than usual, especially when I was walking outside and I could hear it roar on. It turns out that my capacitor was completely dead. The technician was surprised that it was running at all. He thinks that the way it was turning on took some months off the life of the compressor, but at least it’s fixed now. I’ll have a bill for the capacitor replacement, but that’s much cheaper than replacing the compressor or the whole unit.

My pumpkin seeds are still in the dehydrator. I thought I might have added too much clove to the sweet ones, but they’re tasting pretty good at this point. I used the Sazon seasoning for the savory ones and they are yummy as well. I’m looking forward to munching on both.

I had some pumpkin with dinner. I’ll be doing that most days this week, and then maybe take a batch out of the freezer. I’m thinking to use a curry batch for soup. Pumpkin curry soup, add in some onions, maybe potatoes. Water chestnuts just because I love them…
