I didn’t walk this morning. I thought seriously about staying “home” from work, but decided to push through instead. I’m not entirely sure that was the right decision, but it’s the one I made.

I used cold medicine to get through the work day. During lunch, I walked down to the mailbox because I knew I had a package waiting for me. When I was walking down, I thought it might be a bad idea. But I made it back up okay. It’s steep, but I’m used to it I think.

I had a couple of training meetings that I didn’t want to reschedule, and I’m glad that I got those done. And I got some testing done that will improve one of our new processes.

After work, I had family zoom. I did end up peeling the rest of the grapes while we spoke of some quite philosophical things. How do you know who you are? How hiking for me and running for my brother are meditative. Finding that place within yourself where you are also outside of yourself, and the ideas that can come during a shower.

After that, I cooked down the grapes to get the seeds out. I cooked them longer than last time, but I think I need to go longer still, because there were still a lot of grapes with seeds stuck inside them, and they’re hard to get through the mesh. They’re not broken down enough. So straining took me a while. I strained, and I blended, and then I put the pulp in the cooking pot and covered it and put it in the fridge. I’ll finish tomorrow.

I still need to do my exercises before bed this evening. Maybe I’ll do some of it in the shower, because I do want to take a quick shower this evening. I’m all grungy. My chest has been hurting today. I think it’s gas. I’ve been having gas pains in my tummy as well. The period should be arriving soon, so I can probably place blame there.

I had a dream last night that Ambrose wasn’t dead. That he’d come back. It was all a trick. And I told him how I wouldn’t ever stay mad at him because I would appreciate him just being there. We walked around Winfield holding hands.

I got an email today that the mower parts that I had almost convinced myself I hallucinated ordering from DR Power back in August were being shipped, but there’s no estimated arrival date. They did charge my debit card, so hopefully they’re on their way just in time for next spring’s mowing. I need a replacement ball after how much I’ve smashed it on my rocky ground over the last two years.
