I had a harder time getting out of bed this morning, but I still managed to go for a walk and do my exercises in the morning. The walk was interesting. I could hear that it was raining, so I figured I’d wear a baseball cap to keep it from getting on my glasses. But then I heard the wind pick up, and when I got outside the rain was falling sideways, so the ball cap didn’t help very much.

It’s dramatic, walking around in the wind and the rain and the dark. I walked faster than usual because when I was walking into the wind, I’d put extra speed on, and when I was walking with it the wind gave me the extra speed. I’m just glad that my shed didn’t fly away this time. It seems to be doing well now with the heavy duty stakes and the buried sides.

The wind continued throughout the morning. Howling outside. I walked to check my mail at lunch even though I really didn’t want to go out in that wind. It was a very fast walk.

Work went okay. I had a quick project come up, and did training on that as well as training on testing an update. Then meetings for much of the afternoon.

After work, I got right to eating dinner so I would be ready to go to the hot springs. I thought I was there in good time, but several people beat me to the hot tub, so I didn’t get the bench spot. I still had a nice time soaking though. My ears were cold, but dunking in the water for a bit helped with that issue. I didn’t have any chats with people in the tub this time, but I did chat with the owner and worker to wish them well for the holidays. And I got hugs. I drove home feeling content, which was nice. I really do love spending time at the hot springs. Too bad I won’t be back for nearly a month because I’ll be out of town and then I have a work thing the first week of January.

I started writing up my Snowslide Lake trip again. I realized that I was letting myself get stuck because I was having a hard time thinking about how I’d do the photos. And that’s a silly reason to get stuck. Just write it out. Worry about photos later. Hopefully, I’ll get that written up and then get the ICT trip written up. I just need to get out of my own way. Maybe I’ll even write that fiction story for Pulphouse.

The sunrise had some excellent clouds this morning. And there were some good colors in the sunset as well. I wish I could capture in a photo what it’s like to stand on my porch and see the whole of it. See the spread of the sky, with the color slashed on clouds, and the last light of day highlighting their undersides.
