I got up before my alarm, but only because I’d gotten up earlier and had to go all the way downstairs to use the bathroom. I could have waited and probably it wouldn’t have taken that long, but I really needed to go. I decided against waiting and then the cold seat kind of woke me up.

I skipped breakfast again. I don’t know what it is, I just don’t feel like doing anything for breakfast lately. I’m eating plenty for lunch and dinner so I’m not worried about it. I had soup and a hot fudge sundae with banana ice cream for lunch today at Margie’s Candies. That was after we stopped at a market on Southport to get Aji Amarillo, aka yellow pepper paste. We bought 9 jars total. I’m bringing some back to Idaho for some friends who like spicy foods.

Before my dad arrived, I did my exercises. I figured I’d have a busy day and I should get them done early, and I did have a pretty full day after all. After lunch, my parents and I walked around Milwaukee Ave, stopping by Myopic Books to make some purchases. I can’t help adding to my to-be-read pile. I’m going to need to figure out more bookshelf space somehow though.

Then we went back to their place for a bit, and then out again to meet with one of their work friends for a drink. I had a 0.0 Guinness, which was pretty good. I might buy some of those next time I have the chance. Then home to wait for my friend to come pick me up. While I was waiting, another friend video called, so I had a conversation with him. I’ve talked to a lot of people today!

I’ve been texting with a high school friend for a while, and we finally decided to meet up. Well, we were going to last year, but he stood me up. Boo! I’m glad I gave him another chance though, because it was quite a nice evening. Some reminiscing, some deep dish pizza from Pequod’s, and a slurpee for me for dessert.

After I got home, I had some good conversation with my sister in law. I’m glad that I’m here, but I wish Ambrose were here, too. Or that I was home with him. I know he’s “here” with me, but it’s not the same. I miss his touch so much. I don’t get enough touch in my life. I’m having to get a lot while I’m here with family, to store it up like a bear for hibernation.
