Last night, I tried sleeping with socks on. I figured I might be scratching in my sleep, if only by rubbing my feet against each other. My tactic did not work. I ended up waking up at 11:30 pm, and then again around 3 am. The itching was so bad that I decided not to take any walks today. Even walking in bare feet stretches and irritates the skin around the bites, and I’m going to have to wear my boots tomorrow for community service. If I can get these bites to reduce down before tomorrow morning, it’ll be worth taking the day off and missing a couple of my walking goals for the week.

I was also down to my last frozen breakfast sandwich today. Usually, that’s not a problem, but because I’m going to want to leave for Boise as soon as possible after work – and I wouldn’t be back in time on Saturday to pick these up, and the local grocery is closed Sundays and the next closest place doesn’t carry them – I decided to drive to the store this morning. While I was there, I picked up some lidocaine for the bites along with the sandwiches. There was a roll on applicator for sale I decided to try. If I can’t stop them from itching with hydrocortisone, maybe I can just numb them into not waking me up.

It’s been a cold, wet day so far. My feet and legs have been especially chilly because I am trying not to let anything touch the bites, so no long cozy pants, no slippers, no socks.

I got started on the next class I have to take to complete my court requirements after hearing back from my lawyer over the lunch hour. I hope this one counts sufficiently. It seems less robust than the other course I took, but I’m not finished yet. Maybe it will get meatier.

I’m planning on eating dinner while working so I can get on the road as early as possible. I already made my lunch and dinner for tomorrow and I’ve got my ramen breakfast packed. I bought 6 tomatoes on Tuesday, and, unfortunately, two of them had mold, so I had to toss them. I ate one today, and the other three will be snacks for tomorrow.

I’m not going to get my spinning done today, and I’ll plan on doing my Move U exercises in Boise. It’s nice to do them after the drive, have some standing time.

I feel like I need to find a way to do the dumb things I’ve got to do without completely letting go of the connections between my mind, body, and soul.
