My bites were calmer last night. I think skipping the walking did what I wanted it to do. If I walk tomorrow, it won’t be for speed, as that seems to exacerbate the bites most. When I woke in the night with some itchiness, I applied the lidocaine over my thin sleep socks and that seemed to do the trick. I should probably sleep in thin socks tonight, too.

Since I didn’t take any Benadryl, I had some dreams. A lot of dreams. Some stranger than others. Like in one, I was swimming in a pool with a bunch of other people including a co-worker I shared office space with for a while. She was dunking me in a test of breath holding, it was very controlled and not malicious, but she was trying to win. In another, Ambrose came to see me. I was so happy that he had come back, and then I remembered that one cannot come back from being dead, and I realized he was only here to visit. So, I tried to share things with him that he’d missed, and showed him things in the house I lived in, which wasn’t the house I actually live in, but a different one. But it felt like it was the same property. The wall to the west was mostly glass, offering sunset views. He tried to show me how to swing a golf club. Funny, because, of the two of us, I think I golfed more.

I showered in the morning, and got my Move U exercises done before heading to the Restore. It was another long day of helping out as needed and cleaning when nothing else offered. I got to figure out how to shelve a huge amount of tile, which was fun. I helped a few customers, which was fulfilling. And I confirmed that I’m being credited for the full 9 hours that I’m there. So next week will be 4 hours and done. I can walk over to the Collister library branch and get my completed hours sheet scanned in and sent to my lawyer before I even leave Boise.

I wished I wasn’t having to drive on the way home. Not just because of an incipient headache, but because the clouds were amazing. I wanted to take pictures and gawk at the show going on in the sky. Instead, I paid attention to the road and adhered to the speed limit. I did get a few nice shots of the sunset sky when I got home.

I’ve mentioned my husband a few times while I’ve been doing community service at the Restore, and no one has ever asked follow up questions about him. I think that’s for the best, but it does seem curious. Coming up on 8 months on Wednesday. I had a good cry in the shower when I got home. I wish I could feel his arms around me.
