I slept in a little bit today. I was trying to give my body a bit more rest to prepare for the day’s activities. After breakfast, did my ankle exercises, and then I went outside and moved dirt from places in my yard where there is loose dirt mounded to where there are holes where rocks used to be. Then I changed the filter in my mower, put some gas in the tank, and got it started.
I mowed until I ran out of gas, starting with the area around the lilac and then moving out from there. The difference in experience with the new quick lock trim head is incredible. No more stopping every ten to fifteen minutes (if I was lucky they’d last that long) to jam the string into the holes. I didn’t even need to change the strings that I’d put on once. It just worked.

After three wheelbarrows of dirt fill and that partial tank of gas mowing, it was time for lunch. After lunch, I did my shoulder exercises. Then I got started on my cleaning chores and also on breakfast prep. I cleaned one bathroom while my eggs were boiling. Then I finished breakfast prep, and I downloaded my tax software for the year. I decided to try making soups in advance for the week instead of cooking ramen with frozen veggies.
I heated water on the stove, enough for 16 ounces per serving, which may have been a bit too much in retrospect. I think next time I’ll plan for 12 ounces per, but I’ll have to see how they eat before I adjust the recipe. I mixed in various chicken flavorings to the water, plus butter. To the jars I added some drained and rinsed great white northern beans, some frozen veggies, and partially cooked protein pasta.

I finished vacuuming just before I had to leave to feed my friend’s dog. I’m trying to be consistent for the pup. I rode my trike into town again. It’s been a beautiful day. Even though I was sweating during this morning’s yard work, there was a coolness to the air and the slight breeze. Then dinner when I got home, and some relaxing. Tomorrow starts another work week, and I have things to do. More holes to fill, rocks to harvest, and grasses to be mown. Plus everything else I’ve been doing. I’ll probably sleep well from the exertion.
My Lems Boulder Boots are starting to fall apart. The right boot has a split seam. Still usable for now, but I’m going to need to look at replacing them. I might go a half size up when I do that. They’re a bit closer on my toes than I prefer.
