My dreams were more adventure stories again. I like those. Puzzles to solve. There was a magical piano trying to warn me about a danger to another person, but it didn’t know how to spell. I think I got hot in the night. I though I tossed off all my covers, but when I woke again I was under them, so maybe getting hot was a dream. I woke up before the alarm, at about 5:20, but decided to go back to sleep. At the alarm, I got up and executed my plan.
I had a puff bar and some water, and then I went out and mowed. To my surprise, the tank of gas only lasted for about 40 minutes instead of 80. I think that’s due to the colder temperature early in the morning. I’m just glad that I got some more area done. I know this is going to take a long time. I’ll be mowing in the morning again tomorrow, so I’ll be prepared to get less done. It’s still hard work, and it still needs to be done.
After mowing, I got showered and ate breakfast. Then I headed out to Nampa to spend the day with my friend. We tried to stop by the Nampa Farmer’s Market, but it was too crowded, so we just went shopping elsewhere. I ended up buying a few things. I have been meaning to get soap dishes, and I found some that I like. I also got a weighted stuffed animal. And we had to go to three stores to find one, but I got myself a butter dish.
We ate lunch at Red Robin because I wanted a burger. I had one with avocado and bacon and it was quite nice. I’m glad I asked for no seasoning on the fries. I just like fries to taste like potato.
It was good to spend time with her and catch up on her life. We text frequently, but it’s not the same as hanging out. And I got to see her toddler later in the afternoon. I haven’t seen him since Thanksgiving. He may have forgotten me a little. I’ll just have to spend more time out there so he can retain me.
The wind kicked up in the afternoon, even out in Nampa. Once I got home, the wind was blowing fiercely. I think the storm blowing in has given me a headache, but it’s not too terribly bad. Just annoying. It made the drive home less than fun, but I had an audiobook to help me stay focused on the road. The only frustrating part of the drive was getting behind someone doing between 50 and 55 in a 65 zone just north of Weiser.
Once home, I had yogurt with dried fruit, pumpkin seeds, and walnuts for dinner. After that burger, I wanted something light. I got my exercises done for the day. I’m hoping to start the next week in the Shoulders & Arms level 2 program tomorrow, but I’ll have to figure out a good time to do it. Maybe first thing in the morning so I can let the air warm up a bit before I go out and mow? I want to get at least one mowing session, I have a family zoom at 10, and I want to go for a hike. I should also try and cook something, but that probably won’t be happening. I’ll finish up my pasta sauce and then have to figure out meals day by day.
Now that the road to the north is no longer closed, I want to figure out a weekend to visit my friends in Moscow and get the urn that was made for Ambrose. It will be good to put his ashes into a container that was made with love, by someone who knew him.
It’s time to get to bed. I wish I could stay up, but I have so much to do tomorrow. I want to do the physical activities. I really want to get out and hike, even if I’m stopped by the snow again at the same place. It’s still good to get out there and be in the woods and start training my muscles for the hiking season. And I find it so neat to watch spring retreat as I climb higher.
