I didn’t end up running this morning, but I did do my Move U exercises. The work day went pretty slowly, but I did get to leave at 2:30 so I could make it to the airport by around 5.

I took a detour around construction from Weiser through Annex, OR on 201 to 84. The app says it was faster, and it certainly felt better to be moving than to be sitting still. Otherwise the drive was uneventful.

I had had a cry earlier when I realized that this was my first work conference stove Ambrose passed. The first time he wasn’t dropping me off at the airport. I’d usually send him pictures of my room or outfits that I planned to wear. But I got all that out before the drive.

At the economy lot, I ran into one of my colleagues on the shuttle. After security, we claimed a table at Bardenay and were joined by the rest of the folks in our department who were going to the conference, plus one in another department.

The flight had a few bumps, but was overall just fine. Not a full flight, which was nice. Checking into the hotel was a bit tricky, but we got it done and then went out for some food, joining up with another colleague who had arrived earlier.

Now I’m really glad that I already did my exercises for today. Tonight will be a short sleep night, but that’s what conferences are all about. I’ll power through and recover when I get home. This week is a week that I drink coffee.
