I had a hard time falling asleep and staying asleep last night because of the headache, but I did get to sleep, because I dreamed. My bladder woke me about 5 minutes before the alarm, so I was ready to get up when it went off. I got dressed and went for my run.

Today was laps. 5 laps to make a little over 2 miles. The first lap was hard, but the second lap felt easier. I pushed the pace and managed to run a sub 13 minute mile. Slow, steady improvements are all I’m looking for. It won’t be long before I’m ready to run however many laps it’s going to take to get me to 3 miles – or 3.1 for a proper 5K distance.

I took senna tea last night to try and help my digestive system, and it seems to have done the trick, along with drinking an espresso this morning and a lot of water throughout the day.

Work was a bit of a struggle. It was hard to focus with the headache still pounding away at my left temple and the ache in my left shoulder pulsing in accompaniment. But I got done what I wanted to get done, and I only had to go to one meeting. Hurray!

I changed my sheets this morning and did two loads of laundry, as well as all the dishes in the sink. I’m going to come home on Sunday to an empty sink and clean sheets. You’re welcome, future me.

I’ve done my Move U movements for the day, so the only other daily obligation that I’ll want to take care of when I get to my friends’ house is Spanish on Duolingo. I’ll probably get that done, but it won’t be the end of the world if I don’t.

And now, it’s time to head out on a long drive. I’m going to get myself a root beer float at the A & W in New Meadows. I’ve been looking forward to that for months now. I’ve got an audiobook to listen to, and I know the route. I’m prepared for the long drive, and if I need to take a break, then I’ll take a break and get there later than planned. No hurries; it’s all about safety fun (as Ambrose would say).
