I did pretty good this morning. I got up and got moving. Because I was going to go for a hike, I skipped the walk, but I did do my Move U exercises before eating breakfast so that I wouldn’t have to worry about doing them after the hike. This was a smart choice, because I did not feel like doing much after hiking.

I left the house a bit before 9 to go do my hike. Today was chillier than last Saturday, but the weather was fair, partly cloudy. I wore my down jacket for maybe five minutes when I started hiking. I thought about getting my gloves out, but decided I’d use my hands to vent the heat that my body was building up from the exertion of the hike.

Last week, I hiked out for 50 minutes and then turned back. This week, I did two segments of 50 minutes out and then turned back. Even though I wasn’t trying to go fast, my first mile was a good five minutes faster than last week. In total, I did about 4 and three quarters miles. A good hike.

When I got home, I showered and then ate lunch. It was a late lunch, because I didn’t get home until almost 2 pm. I need to start these hikes a bit earlier if I want to finish earlier.

After lunch, I got a brief hailstorm, then pouring rain, and then it went back to drizzling. At that point, I went out to the transfer station to drop off my trash, and then stopped at the grocery in town. I was hoping that I would be able to find something to make little green stems on the cornflake treats that I was planning on dyeing orange like they’re little pumpkins, and they just happened to have green decorating frosting, so I hope that works out. These treats are going to be very sweet.

My head started to ache in the late afternoon. I thought it was related to the pressure changes from the weather that’s been sweeping through, but now I’m suspecting that it is a migraine. I’ve been getting one or two migraines every time I get my period, and I had one last weekend before it started so I guess I’m due for another one. But it’s not as left sided as my migraines usually are, so I’m going to try and sleep it off before I medicate it.

I’ve got an idea for my story. I don’t know if it will fit exactly what’s being asked for, but it’s the story I came up with. I’ve got to write it up tomorrow. No TV until it’s done. I’m hoping to go for a run tomorrow, but I may just do a walk instead. I want to focus on writing that story and getting it done so I can get my cornflake treats made for choir on Monday.

I don’t want to think about my birthday. I just want it to be over and done with. It makes me feel more distanced from Ambrose.

Maybe I’ll ride the trike tomorrow. That might be a good way to get a bit of exercise and air. But I do need to put more air in the front tire.
