It started snowing last night, but I only noticed after I had already posted my blog.

The snow makes me happy. I have missed snow this winter, a lot. This is pretty much the second accumulation of the season, and the earth has been too warm for it to stick around very well. But I did get to go on a walk in the snow in the early morning darkness.

It was a good reason to get out of bed. Even though I didn’t feel like I got good rest (again). More weird dreams. My mom was in one. Ambrose in another, though only in passing. And a door labeled “Awake” in ornate lettering that I didn’t walk through.
Several meetings today, and training sessions that were recorded. I’m working hard on putting my knowledge out into recordings so that my team can handle things that might come up while I’m on vacation in the wilderness. My boss keeps suggesting that I bring a solar powered satellite internet setup to the woods, and I keep refusing. I don’t even bring my cell phone on backpacking trips. No way I’m bring a computer.
I tried my new “super” ramen today. The quantity was smaller than the ones I’ve been eating, but much more nutrient dense. I tried it without adding vegetables to get a sense of it. No veggies were needed really, because the noodles are made out of edamame. They tasted pretty good, and were very filling. I do think they might have been too much too quickly though, because my tummy was very bubbly this afternoon. Not too painful, but noticeable. I’m on the fence about ordering more of them.
I considered on my post-lunch walk whether I might start doing soup meal prep instead of ramen for my workday lunches. If I got some more microwave soup bowls, or even jars that I could pour into a pot to heat up, then I could pre-cook some protein pasta and soup broth, add the veggies, and heat them up like I do the ramen now. I’ll have to experiment.
Leftovers for dinner were just as yummy as the fresh cooked last night. I wished I had more to eat, but I knew I’d portioned things out correctly. I love the crunch of the water chestnuts, and the sweetness of the pumpkin is delightful.
After dinner, I went to the hot springs. The sky was giving a cloud show. I only soaked for about 30 minutes because I wanted to get home to attend the Move U Office Hours Zoom. I’m glad I did, because it gave me a good workout and feedback on how I’m moving. I’m trying to attend those as frequently as possible.
It snowed again before lunch, but the sun came out in the afternoon and did a big melt. Most of it is gone now, but I hope the mountains are retaining some of the bounty. I hope it stays cold this weekend so I’m not hiking in mud.
