This morning was a hard one. Hard to get started. Hard to leave the bed. I didn’t walk. I didn’t shower. I did eat breakfast and get ready for work, but it was hard to even get that much done this morning.

I had to change my lunch hour from noon to eleven am due to a meeting, which kind of threw off my whole morning. Especially when my 10:30 am meeting ran long, which means I didn’t get my full lunch hour. And next week because of other meetings, I’m going to have a split lunch on Monday. At least I’m more prepared for that one.

I did go for my lunchtime walk even though the mail wouldn’t have been there. I did get Saturday’s mail though, so that was good. And I’ve got a daffodil bud coming up. I’m considering taking down the straw from around the lilac, but I don’t want a sudden freeze to come up and kill everything. I really want that lilac to flower this year.

Since I’d skipped my morning walk, I was determined to do two miles after dinner. My homemade tortillas stored just fine in the fridge, and I had another pizza tonight. I am really liking the crunch of the flax seeds in these tortillas. I think I could get ground flax from a store up in Council, but maybe I’ll stick with these semi-ground ones for the crunch factor.

When I went on my walk, I saw the neighbor corgi was already out of his yard, so I figured that he’d follow me. I didn’t expect him to have a friend who also followed me, though the new one didn’t go as far from their home. And I did manage to keep them from following me all the way home by taking the turn at the mailbox. Or maybe it was just luck today.

There was some incredible light in the sky as I was walking back home, after the corgis had gone home.

I did my Move U exercises for the day when I got back. I did the ankle focused program today. Tomorrow I’ll be doing both shoulder and ankle. I’m hoping to do one before breakfast and one during my release time over the lunch hour, but that depends on my getting my butt out of bed in the morning.

The sunset this evening was spectacular. The sky went gold in the west, shading to orange and pink overhead. Just the kind of beauty that makes me love where I live, that I get to see this. Feel the beauty of this light. It’s getting to be the season where I’ll be going to sleep before the sun sets, so I’ve got to enjoy it while I can.
