As expected after yesterday’s very long day, I woke up very tired this morning. I wish I could have had more sleep, but I had to get up and get through the day.

When I woke up, I wasn’t dreaming, but I heard Ambrose’s voice in my head. “You have heart,” is what I heard him saying to me.

Today has just been a long, tiring day. My eye is doing well. I only had one meeting at work. I got my exercises done during exercise release time.

After work, I was so tired that I had a little cry about it. Then I made my Spam salad and finished just before family zoom time. While listening to my parents talk about their trip to France, I cut my way through the free peaches I got from choir last night. There were a lot of bruises to cut away, but I got a good quantity of good peach considering the price. I put the good pieces into a gallon bag and put that in the freezer.

After the zoom, I showered. I’m allowed to get water in my eye now, but I still kept it closed for the most part. If I get water in it, then I’ll want to rub it out and I still want to minimize touching the area. It’s still swollen and tender, though not nearly as swollen and tender as last week. My vision continues to improve. The itching isn’t very bad. I’m technically allowed to touch it now, but I’m trying not to. Seems like a good idea to let it be.

Now I’m going to get to bed early and see how much I can sleep tonight. I’m really looking forward to being able to exercise strenuously, but for now even a long day exhausts me. To be fair, yesterday’s long day was a day that started at 5:15, included almost 4 hours of driving, and didn’t end until after 10.

I’m going to the hot springs tomorrow. I probably won’t submerge my head, but I’ll go and soak. I’ll have a good sweat. And maybe some conversation.
