Slightly better sleep last night. My period started in the night. Luckily, no stains. I realized what was happening when I woke in the night to pee.
It was very dark for this morning’s walk. Clouds covered most of the sky. I could smell the cold moisture on the air, but the snow didn’t start falling until after work started at 8.
Snow fell most of the day. I measured a little over 6 inches on my porch by the end of the day.
There was only about 3 inches when I walked down to the mailbox at lunch. I managed to slip and fall at the turn. I forgot how slick those rocks can be when they’re wet. One minute I was walking, and the next I was sliding. I slapped my hands down and didn’t try to resist the slide. The palm of my right hand is a bit sore, and I think I tweaked my neck a bit, but overall I felt okay.
I’m not sure if I really tweaked my neck or if it’s the headache that likes to come with the period trying to rise. That headache tends to be muscle tension based, and I’ve really been working at not letting those tension patterns continue. Keeping my shoulders back and down seems to be helping me to reduce the tension of the muscle under my left shoulder blade.
I did some shoveling on my porch. I’m trying not to walk on it until I get it shoveled so I don’t get those compressed areas. I didn’t go for a walk after work because I was going to play cards at my neighbors at 6, so there wasn’t time. I should have worn my snow shoes up to my neighbor’s place, but I did okay on foot.
I’m feeling quite tired, but I don’t want to go to bed quite yet. I had a good day at work, getting a lot of stuff done. Definitely still calm, no rising hysteria like I had earlier in the week. I’ll have tears come up, but I don’t feel like I’m getting lost in them. I did my exercises when I got home from cards, focusing on shoulders with some spinal oscillations.
I hope to get some snowshoeing done tomorrow. Not sure if I’ll take them all the way down the hill, but that might be a good exercise…
