I felt like I slept late, but I really didn’t. If I were in my own time zone, I would have been awake before 7, but since I’m on the East Coast I almost slept until 9. A lot of dreams. I’ve been running in a lot of my dreams lately. I think it’s a sign that I’m ready to start running again. One of the dreams featured a young boy, who I think was a young Ambrose. I’ve been looking at photos of him lately. He was a cute kid.
I had fruit and cheesecake for breakfast, along with a cup of decaf coffee, and plenty of water. Before long, it was time to get ready to teach my class. I’m off my regular job while I’m here, but I’m showing up to teach since that’s just 2 hours, and I don’t want to leave my co-teacher hanging.
After that, I went for a walk around the neighborhood, and then went downtown with my in-laws. We mostly drove around, and ended up at Fleet Landing for dinner.
I think I’ve been there before, and I got something I didn’t end up liking. A sweet potato gnocci, if I recall correctly. Tonight, i had an amazing tuna with ginger honey sauce, with sides of fries and collard greens. I tried a shrimp from someone else’s plate, and it was so flavorful. Then key lime pie for dessert.
The only negative part was our spot was quite chilly. I was wishing I’d brought my fleece. I’ll have to bring it to dinner tomorrow just in case. I don’t like shivering, especially indoors.
When we got back home, I went for another walk. I talked to Ambrose as I walked, thinking about the last time I was in Charleston with him.
I think I’ll be able to meet my goal for the week if I can keep up with two walks a day. I did my Move U exercises at home. I’m going to have to shower before I go to bed, but otherwise I’ve done everything I wanted to get done today. My family arrived safely in Charleston, and I’ll be seeing them tomorrow.
