I didn’t get into bed until after 10, but I still got up at the 6 am alarm and got out for my morning mile. Then I did two rounds of my calisthenics routine. I think I’ll start doing two rounds with ten reps then a third round to failure. I want to build strength.

I had tomatoes with breakfast because my friend gave me another bucketful, and some more cucumbers. I’m excited to make more quick pickles with the cucumbers. I hope I’ll be able to eat all the tomatoes because I’m pretty much out of room in my freezer for more. Maybe I could make some marinara sauce and freeze it. But I’d need some more onions. I like onions in my marinara. Oh, I could use some of the mushrooms Ambrose had bought. I thought about using those next time I made pasta sauce.

Before work, I got my cactus moved from outside to inside. The pot is heavy and awkward to carry because of all the sharp pokey bits. I had to physically move one of the cactuses so it wouldn’t poke my chest when I picked the pot up. I don’t think there’s been a freeze yet, but it’s getting cold enough to bring it inside.

Work involved a lot of testing, and a bit of troubleshooting. Not a lot of meetings, which was a nice change of pace. I’ve got a good chunk of meetings tomorrow to make up for it.

I got a haircut over the lunch over. I’m glad to de-fluffify my hair. I can’t see myself ever growing it out again. I just prefer it short. Not just because Ambrose liked it that way. I like not having to mess with it. A no nonsense style.

After work, I gave myself some time to play video games, and then started on Back & Core level 3, at long last. The exercises felt good. I think I’ll do a quick rinse off in the shower before bed to clean the sweat off me.

The period has been flowing today, but not too painful. I’ve been taking Aleve before it starts to hurt, so it might be from that or it might be randomly not too painful. I’m not sure.

I’m still writing with my laptop up on a TV tray with the big keyboard on my lap desk. It’s nice using the big keyboard, and also nice not having the full weight of the laptop on my lap. My right eye can’t see the screen at all from this distance, but the left eye does fine with just a big of zooming in.

I didn’t cry as much today. Feels a bit like I’ve been running from my emotions. Or it could be that the waves pulled back a bit and gave me some relief. I’m staying busy this week. Hot springs tomorrow, sectional rehearsal Thursday, family zoom Friday, hike and shopping on Saturday, cornflake treat making on Sunday, then choir on my birthday. Another year older without Ambrose.

After I exercised this evening, I went outside to look at my sweet potato slips. I don’t think they’ve created any potatoes. But I did see a fabulous moonrise over my neighbor’s house.
