I woke up around 6:30 without any alarms. But I didn’t get out of bed until after 8:15. I spent the time in a kind of meditation and self exploration. It was something that I really needed, and I’m glad I spent the time.
I didn’t get any work done on a short story, but I feel like I had a relatively productive day. I did finish the write up of Day 2 of Snowslide Lake, so now I just need to add photos and I’ll be ready to publish that one. I even started Day 3, which should be shorter as it was a shorter hiking day.
We finally figured out why my dad couldn’t hear us on zoom. His audio had switched to computer audio instead of his external speakers. I’ll have to suggest that first next time instead of trying to change my microphone. It was helpful that he couldn’t hear my brother either so it wasn’t me.
I did maintenance cleaning of both my bathrooms, vacuumed my bedroom, and started cleaning the front room. Every time I do some cleaning, I start to feel a bit better, so I’m motivated to continue.
My breakfasts are prepped for the week. I was just about out of raisins so I chopped up some dried fruit that I bought in the fall and used that. I’m going to need to buy more flax seed before next Sunday. I don’t know if it’s available at any of my local grocery stores. I don’t want to go all the way back to WinCo in Nampa to get more. I’ll have to check around.
I mostly left the TV off today. I did play some Silksong in the morning – and finally got past the Flea Juggle mini game that I’d been grinding at for several days now. But I left the TV off after that (which was before family zoom) until I was eating dinner. I had a salmon and onion salad with Italian dressing for dinner, which was even better than I thought it would be.
I’m going to take a bath before bed. With an NA beer. I’m feeling a bit better about facing the week after my contemplations of yesterday and meditations of this morning. I believe the snow is coming. I think it might dump on 2/20, but I hope it shows up before that.
