I woke up well before the alarm this morning, and I pretty much got started on the day. The stars were out and bright on my morning walk, though the temperature was chilly, in the low twenties. There wasn’t much wind, so it was okay. I got sweaty by the end.

It was nice having a bit more time in the morning to get settled and ready for work. I’m going to leave my alarm time where it’s at, but I’m going to ask my body to get up a bit earlier than that. I prefer waking up without the alarm, and when I’m off caffeine, it’s easier to do. My last caffeine was Friday, so I’m a few days in and I only had a minor headache Saturday night.

Work went okay. I’m staying busy. It’s performance evaluation season, and that always takes time and energy. I have a bad habit of having to do those over the weekend instead of during the work day, but I’m pushing to get them done by Friday end of day. It will partly depend on how many fires happen this week (metaphorical fires).

I got my exercises done during lunch, along with a walk to the mailbox. After work, I went directly on a walk because I was going to be having dinner in Weiser. I decided to attend a Washington County Democrats event, which included pizza and candidate speakers.

I enjoyed the event. I saw quite a few people that I’d met when Ambrose and I went to Washington County Democratic meetings, and I got to catch up with them a bit. I also saw a few people from choir and got a hug from one. I’m glad that I went. I’m not sure if I’ll start going to the meetings regularly again. Time will tell.

Now it’s late and I need to hustle into bed so I can be well rested tomorrow. If I’m lucky, my morning walk will be through snow!
