I woke up a little before 4:30 and decided to just go with it. I got up and did some journaling and then watched some more of my videos from day 4. At around 5:30 I went for my walk and watched the moon leave eclipse. There were clouds around my house and lower, so I walked through mist until I got to my uphill neighbor’s place. I like walking through clouds.

Then I decided to go ahead and get my exercises done for the day so I could do more work on my day 4 writeup during my health and wellness release time. I’m feeling good about finishing day 4 before I leave for Boise this weekend. I’ll still journal while I’m in Orlando and traveling, but I won’t put up a daily blog for that stretch, which will make for less pressure in my life.

I think I had too much liquid in this week’s batch of oats. Overcompensating for last week, no doubt. I do not want to go through that chia seed induced constipation again, thank you very much. I’ll go back down in ounces for the next batch. It’s much easier to add water than to take it back.

My eggs are just fully cooked this week. Some might consider them a bit undercooked, though Ambrose would have considered them overcooked. He loved a soft boiled egg, all runny inside. I can handle those hot, but once they get cold I find a slimy yolk unappealing.

Work went okay today. I’m waiting on a colleague who I know is overworked to get back to me. I got a new process up and running. It will still be manual for another few weeks, but soon it will be completely automated. Had a really good meeting this afternoon and then watched one of my BAs work through a fix.

After dinner, I walked two miles instead of one. I just felt like taking a longer walk this evening. And it felt good to walk. I love that my body can move, and I want to move it more. Once I get this shoulder issue fixed, I’m going to get back into weight lifting with the dumbbells that I bought. Not a lot of weight variety, but they’ll be a start.

Then I got some more writing done. I’m definitely going to finish writing day 4 soon, and then I just need to do the photos, which doesn’t actually take that long once I get myself started doing it. I need to decided if I want to go to a Move U webinar tomorrow or spend more time at the hot springs. I do like those webinars a lot, but I also like the hot springs.

I heard cranes today on my post-lunch and post-dinner walks. I couldn’t see them, but their calls are unmistakable. Spring is springing. Time continues to tick inexorably forward. And I’m feeling a calm and a cheer that surprises me. When I get back from Orlando, I’ll go to a ska show on the 12th and then the world premiere of the Upper Country Singers show from this past December on the 13th. A bit later this year, but the timing is pretty good for me. They just better credit my flute playing this year!
