I did wake up before the alarm, but I refused to get out of bed until after. It was only about 20 minutes. I skipped walk and started right in on exercises. My big plan was exercises in the morning, exercises after dinner and mowing the lawn after dinner. I got the exercises in the morning done, but the rest I canceled.
I’ve been feeling really tired this week and today was no exception. I managed to get an almost blister yesterday walking home with mud all over my clogs. Overnight, it kept startling me awake with a tickling sensation. There’s no breaks or bumps on the skin. Just some irritated nerves. Just enough to keep me from falling asleep. I hope it has healed enough today that it will stop doing that tonight.
I checked the mail at lunch. The weather was still chilly, but the wind wasn’t too bad. I put on too many layers and got a bit sweaty on the way back up the hill.
This evening I’ve been thinking of Ambrose. How we could talk to each other about wild philosophical ideas and bounce off each others’ thoughts. I journal them now instead of talking to him. Maybe sometimes they’re his ideas flashing into my brain.
My mood is lifting with the period waning. I’m still waiting on a refund from the DMV. I might need to call them and complain again because it’s been quite a while, even for a government office. Did the check get lost in the mail?
I was so tired today that I let myself have a tired night and not mow or exercise. I did charge the battery for my trimmer so I can at least trim around where I plan to dig the hole tomorrow for my new tree. The tree adventure! I’ve got some tent footprints to serve as tarps, and I’ve taken the big bin out of my backseat to make room. I still have to rearrange what’s in the car a bit, but I’m close to ready. I plan on going rather early tomorrow to get the drive out of the way.
I need to check my shopping list and see if there’s anything I want to get while I’m all the way down in Fruitland. My main trip will be Loveland’s in town, but they don’t carry certain brands and products. I won’t be far from Ontario if I want to do some shopping there. I haven’t done that in a long time.
I want to hike on Sunday afternoon, but I do need to start mowing my lawn. I might have to put the hiking on hold and focus on mowing for a bit. Though it’s supposed to rain next week as well. This time of year mowing has to just keep going. I’ll see what I can get done tomorrow, after the tree.
