Today was a better day. Tummy was tolerating food, and I did get out of bed at a reasonable time. I didn’t go for a walk though, because it was raining.
i did a microwave breakfast sandwich for breakfast. I worked. We were supposed to have family zoom early today, but my dad forgot so it ended up being closer to the regular time. I ended up being late because I was told 6:30 (my time), so I went outside and pulled some posts with my post-puller. I figured with the rain, now was the time to try for those ones I couldn’t get out before.
I pulled quite a few posts, including a few that gave me trouble last time I tried. I also discovered yet another patch of thistles growing near my fire ring. I dug those out with prejudice. I’m going to be more vigilant now for the first year lifecycle of those thistles, and try to avoid letting them get to the flowering stage if I can.
It’s been cloudy most of the day, with rain on and off. My friend in Nampa told me they got a fierce storm. I’ve heard rumbles of thunder, but the rain hasn’t come down hard out here today.
My goal for this weekend is to be ready to pack up for the nieces trip. I need to make my lists and check them twice, email my nieces with instructions not to pack too much, and see what gear I might need to acquire after they arrive. I have three of just about everything, but I might want to pick up a new trowel since one of my three is kind of busted. I need to figure out things like that this weekend so next weekend I can focus on getting packed up and ready to rock and roll.
