I had some interesting dreams last night. Several different ones, but I only remember the last one. It involved going into a room that felt like an underground bunker. All cinderblock walls. No windows.
I woke up tired. Was it all the running around I was doing in my dreams? I think I’m still recovering from all the driving on Monday. Eye surgery is weird. It doesn’t feel like I really had much done, but the healing is taking it out of me. I want to get back to strenuous exercise! But I have to wait. I have to be patient. Because I want optimal healing.
Work was good. Several meetings, and I got some testing done. Finally went live with an update that my boss has been eagerly waiting for. I would have gotten it done a couple weeks ago, I think, if the surgery hadn’t interfered.
I’m trying to get more fiber in my diet. Adding frozen vegetables to ramen. The Spam salad for dinner. I bought vessels just for overnight oats, and today at lunch I finally went ahead and tried filling one. I did half a serving of oats, water, frozen blueberries and cinnamon. I’ll see how that turns out tomorrow. I’m thinking I’ll use it for a morning snack.
After work and dinner, I headed out to the hot springs for the first time in what feels like forever. It was a good, social time. I chatted about my eye and other things and had a good time with my fellow regulars. I brought a book, but didn’t end up reading it, which was good. I’m glad to have social time. I get plenty of reading time at home.
Oddly, my eye seemed to improve just by being at the hot springs. Perhaps the ambient moisture was good for its focus. It continues to improve, and I hope that it will stay on that trajectory. The hard part is as it starts getting better focused, my eyes try to focus together and they’re just off enough that I get a headache. Here’s hoping that the headache goes away overnight.
