I slept without my heating pad for most of the night. My stomach hasn’t been hurting as much lately. I think it’s healing.
I got some good journaling done today. There was a big family zoom for my aunt’s birthday. I was glad to see her on her special day since she lives pretty far away from me. Well, I guess I live far away from everyone in my family. And Ambrose’s family. So I appreciate the contacts I have with all of them.
A neighbor gave me a ride to town and the transfer station. I had a couple of bags of trash to take. I wasn’t going to get anything at the store, but then I remembered that I was out of bread and running low on peanut butter. He also gave me some oranges and onions since he had more than he needed. His dog is a love, and she loves to lick. I let her lick my hands, but I try to avoid getting her spit on my face. My hands are less sensitive than my face. My face will start itching quickly when it gets licked. I like her, even as I try to avoid face kisses.
I think I’ll do laundry tomorrow.
I got my exercises done. Hips & Glutes level 2 is tough on my hamstrings. I’m getting sore and I like it. I want to start to work my body harder. I liked shoveling snow the other day. If the snow continues to melt, maybe I’ll walk around the yard. It will be wet, so I should probably take a trekking pole or two.
I showered after the exercises. I dressed and then stepped outside while I was still warm from the shower. There was a steady wind blowing from the north, and I breathed it in. It smelled of ice and snow, laden with moisture. I want to spend more time outside. I hope it dries a bit so I can huddle in a chair wrapped up in a comforter and be outside for a while. I’m looking forward to when it’s warm enough to pitch a tent and sleep outside. It’s been too long since I slept outside.
I’m feeling Ambrose’s presence today.
