I slept in, but did wake up before the alarm I’d set for myself. Family zoom was not long after I got up and got moving. It was good to catch up after my whirlwind week.

I did my two sets of exercises today, and did a candlestick roll to standing. I went shopping for groceries for the week. I didn’t get any tortillas which means I either need to make my own or drive somewhere else for tortillas with better fiber content than the ones that were available today.

I purchased a piece of apple pie from the Pi Day celebration at the Cambridge Senior Center. I took it to go after a quick chat with a neighbor. I’ve been watching TV and installing games on the new-to-me Xbox. I’m preparing myself to get back to the mundane routine on Monday.

I went ahead and reached out to the hiker I’d met a few weeks ago. Maybe I shouldn’t have because I might not get the same recharge out of being in nature if I’m not alone. But I’m going to give it a try. I don’t have to do this every week, but I think it’s important to start and see if we’re compatible hiking companions.

I’ve been spending time with Ambrose. Thinking about him. Crying. I know I’m going to miss him for the rest of my life. How that will feel as time goes on is an unknown. But for now, it sucks. Especially that I didn’t get to sit down and debrief with him after the conference. I don’t have anyone else that I can talk to in quite the same way.

Today was incredibly windy. It seems to have calmed down but for a while there, I had an ear out for something crashing through a window or thudding into the house. Nothing happened though. I do like this wind up here, as long as it doesn’t cause damages. Tomorrow should be a good day for a hike.
