I went to bed early last night and slept in, but I still woke up tired. I took a day off from social media. That was good. I might carry that over into tomorrow. Maybe I need a week off.
I’m going to get a week off work soon enough. I’m looking forward to that. Though it’s not like I’m going to be resting. I’m just going to be doing something different. I hope the change of pace is enough to refresh me.
Overall, I felt much better today, though I was tempted to call out sick. I’m not sick. I’m just sick of working. Is this what a mid-life crisis feels like? Or just perimenopause?
They dug the trench to bring fiber to my house this afternoon. I could see them working from my office window. And hear them. And feel them when the digger was close to the house. They looked up where my pipe was located, marked it, and then used a shovel to do the digging at that section. I appreciated their care in not busting my well pipe. They’ve got the cable laid in, but still need to install the box.
I started my hot springs visit reading, but ended up having some good socializing before I left. I was so into talking that I didn’t realize how late it was. I stayed until almost 8. And then I had to do my exercises when I got home because I spent my release time in bed this afternoon.
Tomorrow I’ll be taking the afternoon off work to get to my next retinologist appointment. Here’s hoping that I get the all clear for new glasses and don’t have to reschedule my eye exam again. It’s currently set for next Tuesday. I really need new glasses. I’m not just tired of the right being unfocused; the left is starting to have issues with up close, too.
I watered my tree before going to the hot springs. I think the tree is doing okay. The leaves don’t look yellowed, and new ones are curling out. I haven’t checked the mail since Monday. I’ve got a delivery coming tomorrow, but I might not be home when it arrives. I might ask a neighbor to pick it up, because there’s chocolate that could melt.
