A slow morning today. My last day of decompression before I need to start work again. Though I will have Wednesday off. Of all the days at this time of year, I wanted that one off since 8/2 is a Sunday.

It’s bee hazy today. Two weeks until two years. Feels like time has snuck up on me. But I did kind of do that on purpose. I wasn’t really keeping track of days while my nieces were in town. Now it’s back to every day looking at a calendar.

I spent some time outside pulling knapweed and weeding my tree’s area. I found a big knapweed bush and I think I got almost all the root out. I’ll keep an eye out there for regrowth. I’m going to be patrolling the whole yard for knapweed regrowth for years to come, I think. I’ll learn to recognize it before it flowers and that should help a lot.

I aired out some gear and did a couple loads of laundry. I got my breakfasts made for the week to come. I’m not really ready to go back to work, but that’s not new. I’m just hoping I can sleep well enough tonight so that I feel relatively energized for work.

There aren’t any good movies playing this Wednesday, so I think I’m going to download a movie on my phone and go to the Sturgill Peak trailhead right after work on Tuesday. I can watch the movie up there, and then possibly go for a hike the next morning. I just need to be home in time for my 4 pm to 6 pm hot springs. That will probably be terribly hot. I might do the big pool.

I cried a bit today. And a bit yesterday at the end of family zoom because talking about scheduling made me realize I was just about two weeks off the two year mark and it was a shock. I think I need to cry a bit more to make up for holding myself so tightly while my nieces were in town. I let some emotions out in front of them, but nothing that could scare them.
