I woke up too early this morning. Just before 5. I got up anyway because I wanted to get started with the day, but I have been feeling tired all day. On my walks, my legs have felt heavy and sore. My brain feels like it’s missing something.
I did shoulder exercises after my morning walk. Then shower and breakfast. I stripped my bed and laundered the sheets. The flannels are now in the linen closet for the season, and I’ve got my orange sheets on. I’m still keeping the heavier blankets on my bed for now though, because the temps have been dipping below freezing overnight still.
Work went okay. I felt a bit distracted, but got good work done. And I made some good recordings for training.
After work, I went into town to feed my friends’ dog while they’re out of town. I don’t remember if they mentioned that the dog couldn’t hear very well, but I discovered that today. He doesn’t respond to calling, but once he saw the food, he was enthusiastic. I’ll be stopping by every day until they get back.
And then I went over to my neighbors up the hill. They fed me dinner and then we played cards. It was good to catch up with them both since we hadn’t all gotten together for a few months. The dinner was delicious, and I did well at cards. Maybe too well, at least until we went from rummy to cribbage.
Tomorrow I’m planning to work on my lawnmower, and my lawn. Go shopping down in Payette. Exercise, of course. And feed the dog; I’ll try riding my trike down and see how long that takes. Sunday will be a hike and then meal prep for the week, plus house chores. Then time to start it all over again…
