I slept much better last night at my friend’s house in Boise. I think my stomach is adjusting to eating more fiber. I got to spend some time with a very sweet puppy. I stayed up a little later than I intended chatting, but I think that was good for me.
I got up and executed my plan of going to Zeppole for breakfast. I had a ham and cheese croissant, heated, and a hot chocolate. I figured I didn’t need to add caffeine to my stomach this morning, but I wanted something hot to drink. It was super rich. The croissant was delicious, as usual. And I got some peanut butter chocolate chip cookies to take home.
I didn’t have enough time to stop at Whole Foods as I had thought about doing. I was thinking they might have some good face sunscreen there. I’ll have to figure out somewhere else to get that. Or wait until next week and execute my day a little differently. If they’re open until 9, I could maybe stop there before I go to my friend’s.
Community service at the Restore was very chill. I familiarized myself with where things were located in the store, and then spent some time sweeping. I put priced items on shelves. I did some more sweeping. I wiped down furniture and appliances. I sorted screws. I greeted customers and even answered some questions – most of those I answered by fetching the people who actually worked there, but one customer I actually was able to help all by myself.
I worked from 9 to 6 and then stopped at an Albertsons to get something to eat before I drove home. Chicken tenders and jojos, plus some coconut water. I ate some in the parking lot and then got onto the road. It was a hard drive in that I was tired and the headlights of the other cars hurt my eyes, but it wasn’t a bad drive. I’m really glad to be home. I might stay over in Boise next weekend, when I wont’ be losing an hour overnight. Or I might drive home again, I do really like my shower, and the option to take a bath.
I think I’ll try to wake up a bit earlier next week, or maybe have breakfast at the house instead of eating out across town. The Restore is actually super close to my friend’s house. Maybe I could find a breakfast place closer, too.
I didn’t hydrate as well as I could have or should have today, so I’ve got a bit of a headache. I’m hoping to treat it by drinking plenty of water. And I’ll be more aggressive with drinking water next Saturday. I’m not going to stay up too much later, but I do still need to get my exercises done. I should get them done in the morning next week.
One down, four to go.
