More strange dreams last night. Intense dreams, that should be terrifying, but aren’t. Ambrose and I were hiking in one of them, up a steep slope of snow before a storm broke out, leaving us in a precarious position.

I had to use my heating pad on my neck to get relief from the headache that was happening last night. It helped me sleep, but I didn’t feel very rested when I woke up. Felt a little better health-wise, but I’m definitely still stuffy and runny today. Here’s hoping it’s everything clearing out and I’ll feel good tomorrow.

I initially had no meetings on the calendar at work today, but ended up scheduling one for the afternoon. That was a fun one, because it’s someone I’ve known for a long time and it was good to catch up a bit. There’s progress on some of the updates that I’ve been working on with development staff.

I exercised during my lunch/exercise release time. In addition to shoulder focused Move U movements, I did some jumping. I want to be able to use my jump rope, but there’s really not room to do it inside the house, so I just jumped over a line instead, two-footed and one-footed, in a variety of directions. Starting that off with small numbers, but I’ll build on that.

After work, I got right to work on making a pecan pie for tomorrow’s potluck. The goal and plan is to be well enough to do to dress rehearsal. I shall be healed! I may have used a bit too much Karo syrup. I didn’t notice the helpful “1 cup” measure on the side of the bottle until after I’d measured out into my measuring cup.

I used the fresh eggs that my co-worker gave me a few weeks ago, washing the shells before I cracked them one at a time into a bowl to make sure that they smelled and looked good and that I didn’t get any shells into the mixing bowl. I used the recipe from the Karo bottle, because that’s what my mom had always used. And a premade pie crust, again, because that’s what I knew my mom to use. I bet she knew how to make pie crust from scratch, but she didn’t do it when I was a kid.

It snowed a little bit today. The teeniest, tiniest of flakes. More visible as movement than as snowflakes. Eventually enough of them fell to create a light frosting of white on the ground. I think they’re still going. It will be interesting to see if there’s any accumulation in the morning.

Man, I want to get healthy and get back to my morning walks. Especially now that I’m done with one of the eye drops. Maybe I’ll just roll out of bed and walk, then take care of the eye drops after my shower. I’ve been doing them after the shower the last couple of mornings.
