There was more rain in the night. I got to listen to some of it. I didn’t sleep well. It took a long time to fall asleep. The abdominal pain was intense., and my mind kept racing. I’m trying to work my way through what to do next.

It would be nice if I could have had some caffeine today, but I’m staying away from it for now. Even though avoiding coffee and caffeine hasn’t been helping thus far. Nor has the omeprazole. I’ve taken that before and it didn’t take more than a week to provide relief.

I think I might get an appointment with my therapist. I wish I could talk to Ambrose. But since I don’t fancy springing for a medium, a therapist will have to do. I have been thinking about that for a while now. Mulling it over. Sometimes I need to roll an idea around in my head for a while. Which sometimes does not work out to my benefit, like last summer when I risked my eyesight because I didn’t call an eye doctor at the first sign of blurriness.

I have been very inwardly focused these last few months. I need to get out of myself. The hot springs are closed for the month of August, so I’m not really getting any socialization. And then the smoke has been so bad that I haven’t wanted to go hiking with that level of air quality. My first ICT segment had some pretty bad smoke days. I did not like hiking that way. Oddly, the time that I got as close as I ever care to get to a forest fire, the air was not very smoky. I think that’s because it was a recently started fire at the time I encountered it.

I’m going to work on my yard tomorrow. I need to see if the mower will start up, and if not, I need to get cracking with the hand trimmer. And figure out how to get a professional to look at my mower. There’s an authorized servicer down in Ontario but I’m not sure I could fit it in my car. Maybe the guy in Council could make a house call.

Sunday, I’ll be going to Nampa to visit with my friend and her son. It will be so good to be around some people I love and who love me. I miss being in daily contact with my love. Maybe I should just to heck with it and get a cat. Right, litter box, that’s why not to get a cat. Plus vet bills. Food. Medications. Emergency surgeries when the little devil eats something it shouldn’t… Maybe I should get a big stuffed animal.
